E-Waste Recycling Policy
At ONEPLUS technology india private limited(ONEPLUS India), we recognise that our responsibility does not end once products are sold to the consumers but it also extends to their safe disposal in environment friendly manner. Following this philosophy and in compliance with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, as amended from time to time, we have developed a procedure for collecting and proper recycling of e-waste.
As a part of this initiative, we have developed a pan-India collection mechanism along with our authorised e-waste management partners (“Authorised Partner”) . These Authorised Partners have been given a clear mandate to collect e-waste from respective states as per applicable processes and to channel it to authorised and registered dismantlers and recyclers for environmentally sound recycling as required by the Rules.
In order to promote and encourage electronic waste recycling, we would advise consumers to deposit your electronic equipment and accessories at any of our collection centers at the link provided below.

Collection Centres
ONEPLUS technology india private limited is committed to the effective and environmentally sound collection of all e-waste across India and has been managing the collection of e-waste through its collection centres.

Do's& Don'ts
Do's:
1. Please call the Toll-Free Number of Authorised Partner(s)/Collection centres for any query about take-backs or recycling your product.
2. Please accumulate all unused electronic and electrical items, and hand them over only to the Collection Centres as per the link provided above.
3. Please recognise that you, as an individual, are also responsible for conserving our environment.
4. Please backup your data and erase it before submitting the products as e-waste. Consumers are solely responsible for backing up and permanently deleting all personal, confidential or sensitive data from their devices prior to handing them over for recycling. ONEPLUS India, its Authorised Partners, collection partners, recyclers and service providers shall not be responsible for any loss, disclosure, recovery or misuse of data stored/remaining on the device.
Don’ts:
1. Please do not throw any electronics (including batteries) into a garbage bin. It must be submitted to the stated collection centres.
2. Please do not sell e-waste to scrap dealers or unauthorised agents for cash.
3. Please do not dispose of e-waste in landfills or pits.
4. Please do not open unused electronics without expert supervision, as it can be hazardous.
FAQs
1. What is E-waste?
Any electronic and electrical product or equipment that has been out of use due to a technical flaw, up-gradation of technology or unforeseen damage can be termed e-waste.
2. What is Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)?
Extended Producer Responsibility is a regulatory framework under the E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022. Under EPR, Producers (defined as manufacturers, importers and brand owners of electrical and electronic equipment) now have a responsibility to ensure the take-back of e-waste from their customers after its end-of-life, to ensure its proper management and disposal and to protect the environment.
3. How am I, as a consumer, covered under the new E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022?
Each stakeholder has specific responsibilities under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, including Producers, Bulk
Consumers, Consumers, Recyclers and Refurbishers. Bulk Consumers are enterprises or businesses that use electrical and
electronic equipment in the course of their operations and are required to ensure that e-waste generated by them is
handed over only to registered Producers, Recyclers or Refurbishers in accordance with applicable law.
While individual consumers do not have the same compliance obligations as Bulk Consumers, they play an important role in
the e-waste management ecosystem. Consumers are encouraged to dispose of e-waste responsibly by handing it over only
through Authorised Partners/ Collection Centres. We also encourage individuals, families, schools and communities not to
dispose of e-waste in landfills or hand it over to scrap dealers or unauthorised vendors, thereby contributing to
environmental protection and responsible recycling practices.
4. Why is it essential to handle e-waste correctly?
Materials in an electronic or electrical product contain hazardous elements like mercury, lead, cobalt etc. which if comes in contact with humans, may pose as risks to human health and the environment. Improper disposal may result in such materials entering the environment and causing harm to human health and natural resources. Therefore we must only hand over or dispose of e-waste through authorised recyclers or e-waste management companies.
